Payment
- We accept all major credit cards and debit cards.
- Card holders must be present at the time of pick up.
- All cash payments must be secured by a credit card or debit card
pre-authorisation payment.
- Payment must be paid in full on collection of the vehicle.
Rates
All our rates include:
- Collision Damage Waiver Insurance (CDW)
- Theft Protection Insurance (TP)
- VAT
- Unlimited Mileage
- 24 hour breakdown cover
Driving Licence Requirements
All drivers must present a full valid driving licence, held for a minimum of 2 years, at time of rental. Overseas visitors must present a valid driving licence issued in their country of permanent residence and/or a valid international driving licence.
Only drivers approved by Budget at time of rental are permitted to drive the vehicle.
Age Limits
The min/max age limit for drivers is 25-75 years for groups A,B,C.D.E,F,P,G,O, for groups I and L the min/max age limit of 28-75 years applies
Certain vehicles may have higher age restrictions so please check at time of rental.
Minimum age restrictions may be reduced where renters transfer their own fully comprehensive insurance—by arrangement only.
Additional Drivers
Additional drivers are charged at €8.00 per day or €40.00 per week and are subject to the same age and licence requirements as the renter.
CDW and TP Excess Liability
Excess liability varies form group to group, and limits the renter’s financial responsibility to a predefined amount. These are outlined below:
Groups A, B C, G, O, P: €850.00 plus Vat
Groups D, E, F: €950.00 plus Vat
Galaxy/9Seater: €1250.00 + VAT
Ford Transit Vans: €950.00 + Vat
Decling Collision Damage Waiver {CDW}/Theft Protection
You may only decline CDW/Theft Protection where you have arranged CDW/Theft Protection cover yourself (certain Gold/Platinum cards allow this). An administration fee of EUR € 25 + VAT at 13.5% will apply for the use of this option. A deposit of EUR € 2000 will be required on pickup for damages. It is the responsibility of the renter to ensure that the credit card insurance is adequate to cover any loss/damage to the vehicle. Otherwise, the renter must assume full financial responsiblilty.
Excess Waiver
Excess Waiver is an additional insurance that reduces the renter’s financial responsibility to €100.00 (€250.00 for Galaxy and 9 Seater). Excess Waiver can only be purchased at the time of rental and is only available on 3+ day rentals
Excess Waiver insurance is charged as follows:
Groups A, B C, G, O, P €10.00 per day Reduces liability to €100 + VAT
Groups D, E, F €10.00 per day Reduces liability to €150.00 + Vat
Galaxy/9Seater: €15.00 per day Reduces liability to €250 + VAT
Baby Seats
Baby seats can be provided on request and are charged at €45.00 per rental.
One Way Rentals
A drop charge applies for one way rentals to the following locations:
- Dublin, Cork or Shannon: € 60.00
- Galway, Killarney & Knock: € 150.00
- Belfast: € 180.00
